- Schedule - Shift - Hours Full Time - Day ShiftMaineHealth is
currently hiring 2 Psychiatrists to work in an innovative,
flexible, float pool model, in inpatient settings across Maine
Behavioral Healthcare (MBH). These roles provide inpatient
psychiatric care, working with a multidisciplinary team, including
directing the treatment team and planning pharmacologic and
therapeutic interventions. Each position will be scheduled for
between 30-40 weeks per calendar year, the amount to be determined
by the Psychiatrist. This role is integral in allowing for
continuity of high-quality patient care, across MBH, as it provides
coverage to support the team during vacations, leaves or other
times when additional staffing is needed. This is a great
opportunity for Psychiatrists who are seeking wider experience, as
it allows for the opportunity to work across facilities and
psychiatric disciplines. Additionally, this role provides very
flexible scheduling, while also keeping compensation aligned with
the market and receiving benefits, as it is a permanent position at
MaineHealth (it is not a locum or per diem arrangement). It strikes
the balance between flexible scheduling, market compensation and
benefits all under the MaineHealth umbrella. -We welcome

scheduling and working in inpatient settings. This is an ideal role
for those seeking opportunities to work in different disciplines,
and at multiple locations, to gain exposure to all that MaineHealth

from those who have recently completed residency and fellowship
programs in the relevant disciplines, completed or will be
completing their training in 2024 or 2025. We provide relocation
and physicians are eligible for loan forgiveness under the Public
Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. -Desired Experience:
Education: Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School.
Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or
fellowship training. -License/Certifications: Current/Eligibility
-and -valid license -as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure
in Medicine. Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and
Neurology, or be eligible for examination by the American Board as
documented by written evidence. Board Certified or board eligible
in general psychiatry. Current DEA Registration Certificate.
-Experience: 3+ years experience inclusive residency and/or
fellowship training. -Meet other credentialing criteria defined in
