Job Description Job Description Senior Accountant A client of
ours is looking for a Senior Accountant for a contract role to
support core accounting operations and ensure accurate financial
reporting. This role will be responsible for overseeing accounts
payable and accounts receivable, managing month-end close
activities, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and supporting
inventory accounting. The ideal candidate will have strong
analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles,
and the ability to work cross-functionally. Responsibilities of
Senior Accountant Manage and oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and
Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy and
timeliness Perform month-end close activities, including journal
entries, account reconciliations, and financial reviews Maintain
general accounting functions, including general ledger management
and financial reporting Support and reconcile inventory accounting,
including inventory valuation, adjustments, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Assist
with audits and provide requested documentation and schedules
Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased
efficiency Skills/Qualifications of Senior Accountant Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 6years of
progressive accounting experience Strong experience with AP, AR,
month-end close, general accounting, and inventory Proficiency in
accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail
and organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced
environment Experience in inventory-based or manufacturing
environments CPA or CPA-eligible a plus ERP system experience If
