seeking a dedicated Public Staff Tax Accountant for a
contract-to-permanent opportunity. Join a reputable public
accounting team and play a key role in supporting clients during
their peak season and beyond. Key Details: Location: Southington,
CT (on-site required) Schedule: Monday–Saturday, minimum 55 hours
per week Type: Contract-to-Permanent Responsibilities: Prepare and
review individual and business tax returns for a diverse client
base Conduct research and resolve tax questions for clients
Collaborate with senior accountants and partners to deliver
exceptional service Maintain accurate working papers and support
client engagements end-to-end Handle high-volume work during busy
tax season and manage multiple deadlines Minimum 2 years of recent,
hands-on public accounting/tax experience Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Strong knowledge of
tax law, IRS regulations, and compliance standards Proficiency with
accounting/tax software—UltraTax CS experience a strong plus
Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail Ability
to work extended hours during tax season (including Saturdays)
