Job Description Job Description Job Title: Senior Cost Analyst Location: Groton, CT (On-site, 5 days / week) Position Type: Full-Time / Permanent Recruiter Contact: Abby Harpp – abby.harpp@roberthalf Job Reference: AH0013361489 We are seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to support a high-tech manufacturing operation and play a key part in standard costing, inventory accuracy, and operational cost analysis. This person will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver accurate product costing and actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: Own standard costing, cost updates, and variance analysis Partner with Operations on inventory counts, audits, and root cause analysis Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close Collaborate cross-functionally on BOM, material, labor, and overhead costing Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and cost-related reporting Monitor cost trends, identify savings opportunities, and drive improvements Deliver clear, actionable cost and operational insights to leadership Support ad-hoc cost and production analysis Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3–5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience Strong knowledge of standard costing and variance analysis Experience supporting close, budgeting, and forecasting Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience Ability to partner effectively with operations and technical teams How You'll Stand Out: Experience with Epicor, Hyperion, and/or SAGE Exposure to inventory audits, physical counts, and BOM or engineering cost support If you meet the minimum requirements and want to learn more, please email your resume to abby.harpp@roberthalf and reference AH0013361489.
