Job Description Job Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Andover, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and analysis within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve organizational goals. Responsibilities: • Oversee and support the achievement of departmental objectives and financial targets. • Ensure compliance with internal control standards and promote their implementation. • Manage tight deadlines for monthly financial statement preparation, period-end close processes, and audits. • Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail. • Conduct monthly reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules for general ledger accounts. • Review and validate the work of Staff Accountants in designated areas. • Maintain ownership of specific general ledger accounts and provide detailed analysis. • Provide financial models and variance reports to assist management in decision-making. • Facilitate accounting tasks for affiliated entities, including financial reporting and tax preparation. • Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation to support financial transactions. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Management. • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in a detail-oriented environment. • Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entries. • Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with MEDITECH or similar financial software systems. • Experience in audit processes and financial statement preparation. • Ability to analyze data and create meaningful financial reports. • Excellent organizational and communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
