Job Description Job Description We are seeking a highly
organized and compassionate Medical Phone Operator to join our
clinical team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will
play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to
detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks in
a fast-paced healthcare environment. Qualifications: 1 year of
recent medical office administrative experience required. Will
consider any applicants that have experience with scheduling in a
medical environment. Will also consider any candidates with
scheduling call center experience. Qualified applicants must have
the ability to communicate effectively with facility staff. A
successful candidate will be a self-directed multitasker. Previous
EMR system experience preferred Key Responsibilities: Answer
incoming calls promptly and professionally, serving as the first
point of contact for patients. Obtain and accurately document
patient demographics, insurance details, and referral information
in the EHR. Identify and record the reason for each call (e.g., new
patient intake, referral, insurance verification, appointment
scheduling). Schedule consultations, diagnostic tests, and
follow-up appointments according to practice protocols and
physician availability. Ensure new patients are scheduled within an
appropriate timeframe Reschedule missed appointments in compliance
with practice guidelines. Confirm upcoming appointments and provide
patients with any required instructions. Details: Pay: $20 -
$22/hr. based on related experience Pay Cycle – Weekly | Medical,
Dental & Vision Benefits offered. Schedule: Monday – Thursday |
8:30am – 5:00pm | Fridays 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week) This
role is an in-office position and requires employees to work onsite
5 days a week in Wallingford, CT Job Type & Location This is a
Contract to Hire position based out of Wallingford, CT. Pay and
Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
