Job Description:
Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance
Manager to oversee and ensure the optimal functioning of our fleet
operations. The manager will be responsible for the upkeep and
compliance of all company vehicles, focusing on safety, efficiency,
and cost-effectiveness. This role involves managing a team of
technicians and mechanics to achieve maintenance goals and ensure
reliable transportation for food and food-related products across
multiple states. Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance
schedule for all fleet vehicles. Manage and lead a team of
maintenance staff, including mechanics and technicians. Ensure
compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding
transportation and vehicle standards. Monitor vehicle performance
and maintenance needs using fleet management software. Optimize
inventory management of parts and supplies. Coordinate with vendors
and suppliers for timely procurement of parts. Conduct regular
assessments of maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and
reduce costs. Prepare budget reports regarding fleet maintenance
and project future costs. Strong leadership and team management
skills. In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and vehicle
maintenance. Proficient in using fleet management software.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to
work under pressure and manage emergencies. Strong communication
and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance 401k
ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence). CDL (Commercial
Driver’s License) preferred. Professional training or certification
in Fleet Management.
