We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our skilled labor team. This role requires precision and dedication, as you will be integral in laying the groundwork for essential utilities and systems. As a Pipefitter at Middlesex Corporation, you'll work on complex projects and collaborate with a team of professionals committed to excellence and innovation in construction. Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Cut, thread, and hammer pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, and benders. Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment. Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods. Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading and lay out the routing of systems. Modify and clean pipe systems, including pipe lining and removal of obstructions. Knowledge of installation tools and equipment Welding and fabrication Understanding of system layout and blueprints Ability to handle physical workload and stand for long periods Strong problem-solving skills Attention to detail and safety Valid Pipefitter Certification from a recognized authority Welding certifications may be required or preferred depending on project needs
