We’re looking for an experienced Jr. Construction Estimator to join our growing team and play a key role in shaping projects that make a difference. What You’ll Do As a Construction Estimator, you’ll be the backbone of our project planning process. Your day-to-day will include: Lead Estimating for Diverse Projects : Commercial, healthcare, and manufacturing fit-outs. Collaborate & Communicate : Attend on-site meetings with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure every detail aligns with specifications. Negotiate & Strategize : Secure competitive contracts with vendors and subcontractors. Plan Ahead : Develop work schedules with short-term and long-term look-aheads. Own the Numbers : Perform take-offs, procure materials, and prepare comprehensive cost estimates. Drive Accuracy : Review plans, create RFIs, track submittals, and evaluate bids. Stay Ahead : Maintain historical cost data and monitor evolving project details. Support Success : Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiations. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. 5 years of experience in construction estimating. Proficiency in estimating tools like Bluebeam, ProEst, or PlanSwift. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations. Bonus Points For: Experience with healthcare or biopharma projects. Project management experience on $1M projects. Familiarity with Procore and MS Office. PMP certification. Why Join Us? Work Environment: Schedule: 7 AM – 4 PM Locations: Company HQ in Brookfield, CT project sites in Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven counties, and Poughkeepsie, NY. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Brookfield, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
