Job Description Job Description Our client is looking for a
Window and Door Service Technician to join their Service
Department. This role is essential in ensuring customers receive
the best possible support for their window and door needs—whether
it’s repairs, maintenance, or installations. As part of the team,
you will: Perform window and door repairs and maintenance,
including hardware and glass replacement, weatherstripping, and
adjustments. Inspect and diagnose issues with windows and doors,
recommending appropriate solutions. Install and replace window and
door units, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and functionality.
Mull and assemble window and door units both in the shop and in the
field. Provide professional, courteous customer service by
addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests. Accurately
document all work performed, including materials used and
recommendations. Collaborate with the Service Coordinator and other
team members to schedule and complete service appointments.
Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in proper working
order. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product updates, and
manufacturer guidelines. Take on additional functions and duties as
assigned. What We’re Looking For Must-Haves: High school diploma or
equivalent. Proven experience in window and door service, repair,
or installation. Strong knowledge of window and door systems and
components. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to lift
up to 75 lbs and perform physical work (bending, stooping,
climbing). Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Professional, customer-focused attitude. Ability to work
independently and manage time effectively. Basic computer skills.
Preferred: Technical training or certifications in window and door
repair/installation. Experience mulling and assembling window and
door units. Willingness to travel for service jobs and training
