Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. An opportunity is available for a Special Education
Teacher to support young learners in an elementary school setting
focused on Autism (moderate to severe). This position serves a
caseload of 7-8 students primarily in grades 1-2, with a mix of
verbal and nonverbal children. The role requires confidence and a
passion for working with this specific population, and involves
collaboration with one teacher and two teaching assistants.
Location: Oxford, NC Duration: January 5, 2026 June 11, 2026
(2025/2026 School Year) Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday,
4-6 hours per day Setting: Onsite only Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instructive and behavioral support to K-2 students
with Autism Collaborate closely with teaching assistants to
implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Monitor student
progress and adjust strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive
to student growth and development Qualifications: Early Childhood
(EC) Credential with Birth to Kindergarten license required
Experience working with moderate to severe Autism spectrum
learners, particularly ages K-2 Ability to effectively communicate
with students of varying verbal abilities, including nonverbal
children Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with
