County, PA, this contract opportunity offers a rewarding role
supporting K-12 students within an Enhanced Emotional Support
setting. As an Emotional Support Interventionist, you will provide
focused, compassionate assistance to students facing emotional or
behavioral challenges, helping them engage productively with their
daily environment and fostering social-emotional growth. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver individualized or small group support to
students exhibiting emotional or behavioral difficulties. Implement
and uphold behavior intervention plans developed by behavior
specialists or special education teams. Aid students in managing
emotions, regulating behavior, resolving conflicts, and improving
social skills. Collect and document behavioral data and
intervention outcomes as directed. Support students through daily
transitions, sensory breaks, and apply de-escalation techniques
when necessary. Maintain a safe, structured environment, adhering
to crisis intervention protocols. Collaborate with teachers,
counselors, and related service professionals to ensure cohesive
support. Assist with academic engagement and participate in
classroom activities. Provide personal care assistance when needed
(e.g., toileting, hygiene). Qualifications: Bachelors degree
preferred in Juvenile Justice, Social Behavior, or related fields;
Associates degree considered with at least one year (preferably
three) of relevant experience. Demonstrated experience in emotional
support, therapeutic, or behavior-based educational settings.
Strong knowledge of emotional and behavioral disorders such as
anxiety, oppositional behavior, and trauma-related conditions.
Proficient in de-escalation strategies, positive behavior
reinforcement, and relationship-building techniques. Ability to
remain composed during high-stress or crisis situations while
maintaining professional boundaries. Basic computer skills for
documentation and communication. This position follows the school
calendar from ASAP through June 12, 2026, working approximately
32.5 to 35 hours per week. A completed emotional support role
supervisor reference is required for consideration. If you meet
