Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years
Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An educational opportunity
is available for a Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) to
support students within multiple elementary schools in a
collaborative and supportive environment. This role is ideal for
certified BCBAs or Special Education Teachers holding a Tier 3 or 4
license, who are passionate about enhancing student success through
targeted behavioral support. Location: Andover, MN (supporting four
elementary schools in surrounding areas) Duration: January 5, 2026
June 5, 2026 Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 8:30 AM
4:10 PM (37.5 hours per week) Type: Contract position for the
current school year Key Responsibilities: Conduct functional
behavior assessments and develop individualized positive behavior
intervention plans. Collaborate with an additional BIS and Special
Education Administrator to support four elementary schools in the
district. Implement strategies to reinforce positive behaviors,
apply de-escalation techniques, and redirect inappropriate
behaviors while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
Provide training and support to staff on behavioral recommendations
and interventions. Support development and implementation of
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with federal
and state regulations. Utilize data to inform and adjust
programming to improve student outcomes. Maintain compliance with
school policies and contribute to a positive and productive work
environment. Respond calmly and effectively during crisis
situations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Perform
other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
Qualifications: Licensed BCBA or Special Education Teacher with
Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota licensure. Experience implementing behavior
intervention strategies in educational settings. Strong
communication and collaborative skills, able to work cooperatively
with school staff and administration. Commitment to student safety
and fostering positive behavioral growth. This role offers a
