year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Sign Language
Interpreter dedicated to supporting students communication needs in
an educational setting. Located in Gardiner, ME, this role involves
travel between schools to provide essential interpreting services,
ensuring that deaf and hard-of-hearing students have full access to
classroom instruction and school activities. Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate clear and accurate sign language interpretation between
students, teachers, and staff during classroom instruction and
school events Support inclusive learning by effectively bridging
communication gaps in diverse educational environments Adapt
interpretation techniques to meet the needs of individual students
and varied subjects Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
while working across multiple school locations Collaborate with
educators, counselors, and other support staff to optimize student
success Qualifications and Experience: Proficiency in American Sign
Language (ASL) with a strong understanding of educational
terminology Previous experience interpreting in K-12 school
settings preferred Ability to travel regularly to different schools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to
confidentiality and ethical standards in interpretation services
