A 1099 contract opportunity is available for a Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school environment. This role is based in Orono, ME, and involves facilitating communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students by providing sign language interpretation during virtual and in-person educational sessions. Key responsibilities include: Delivering accurate and effective sign language interpretation to support student learning and engagement. Collaborating with educational staff to ensure clear communication during telehealth sessions. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethical standards. Assisting with the development of communication strategies tailored to individual student needs. Participating in relevant training and professional development opportunities as required. Qualifications and Experience: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification or equivalent experience preferred.
