This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to middle school students with emotional support needs in a K-12 school setting. The position involves working Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m., managing a caseload of 13 students in grades 7 and 8. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Delivering differentiated instruction in an emotional support classroom Collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting strategies as needed Maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters social and academic growth Qualifications and experience: Pennsylvania certification with required Special Education credentials Proven experience working with middle school students in an emotional support or special education setting Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage a classroom and maintain positive student behavior Location: The position is based in Columbia, PA, serving middle school students in a contract role for the current school year (CSY).
