Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1 years
School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A rewarding
opportunity is available for a Mental Health Specialist to support
students within a school setting in Oxford, MI. This contract
position involves working directly with general education students
to provide social-emotional support through individual and group
interventions. The role also includes collaborating with classroom
teams and school buildings to implement positive behavior programs
and provide professional learning as needed. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver social-emotional support and interventions to students in
general education. Collaborate with educators and staff to enhance
classroom and school-wide behavioral strategies. Participate in
professional learning initiatives and assist in implementing
positive behavior programs. Adapt approaches to meet the diverse
needs of students and school communities. Qualifications: Masters
degree is required. Must hold a valid LARA license in one of the
following areas: Licensed Masters Level Social Worker (LMSW) or
School Social Worker. Licensed Masters Level Psychologist or School
Psychologist credentialed by the Michigan Department of Education.
Licensed Masters Level Marriage and Family Therapist. Licensed
Masters Level Professional Counselor. Candidates with limited
licenses in these areas, under supervision, are also eligible.
Licensed Bachelor Level Social Worker (LBSW) candidates must be
enrolled or plan to enroll in a program to achieve LMSW or LLMSW
status within 24 months of hire. School Counselor licenses or
credentials (SCL, NT endorsement, PSCC, TSCL) are acceptable with
proper LARA registration and licensure plans. Location:Oxford, MI
