Lead Teacher provides direction for the childcare classroom and
implements the program curriculum while providing a quality

Teacher Builds personal and meaningful relationships with childcare
families while exemplifying the Y’s commitment to the
four-character values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility.
Responds to all inquiries in a timely manner. As a full-time
employee you must be dependable, and you will be expected to build
consistency and stability in the classroom for the children in your
care. Implement curriculum within the established guidelines.
Design and implement daily lesson/activity plans. Supervise
children, classroom and all activities. Make ongoing, systemic
observations and evaluations of each child. Conduct parent
conferences while maintaining positive relationships and effective
communication. Maintain program site and equipment. Maintain
required program records. Attend and participate in family nights,
program activities, staff meetings and staff training (18 hours per

in your community Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Meets 80%
to 100% of the following qualifications: Ability to perform duties
with professionalism, enthusiasm, kindness, empathy, care, honesty,
and respect. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of
people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Meets educational and experience qualifications established by
state law; 18 ECE Credits At least 21 years of age CPR, First Aid,
AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30
days of hire date. Health form completed within the 30 days of hire
date; renewed every 3 years. At least 1 year of experience working
with children in a developmental setting preferred. Ability to
plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally
appropriate program activities. PREFERED LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS: An
associate degree or higher in ECE or equivalent 3 or more years of
experience working in a licensed childcare facility. About Us The
