ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together

increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads

and Hillsboro, Oregon.
As Reliability Engineers at ASML our goal is to contribute to
customer satisfaction by ensuring the fulfillment of reliability
requirements for our products. We do this by leading reliability
engineering activities for ASML projects and providing them with
state of the art reliability engineering expertise. Our team
actively takes part in the design process and practices Design for
Reliability (DfR) principles and activities and reliability growth
management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and drive design-for-reliability plan and activities for
ASML new products as well as existing products. The hired candidate
will be responsible for leading the reliability process on
cross-functional project teams that are developing highly complex
multi-disciplinary designs.
This design-for-reliability engineering role includes aspects of
systems engineering, engineering architecture, and design
engineering.
Develop system level reliability models and reliability risk
assessments. Provide expertise to inform system architecture,
concept design, and detailed design level decisions.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers, product architects,
and project leaders to define reliability requirements, identify
risks based on required system functionality, rank risks, and
develop and drive closure of risk mitigation plans. Use influence
to ensure sufficient resources are allocated to support reliability
plan and activities.
Use strong technical background to develop requisite product
knowledge, in addition to physics-of-failure knowledge, to perform
both analytical and empirical based reliability risk assessments
and mitigation activities.
Orchestrate reliability tools/methods, e.g. DFR (Design for
Reliability), FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), and deploy
through the whole organization during the development process.
Responsible for the design, oversight, and execution of
reliability/serviceability tests including accelerated life
testing, environmental stress screening, HALT (Highly Accelerated
Life Test), HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screen), and
reliability demonstration testing.
Research new reliability processes by conducting experiments,
identifying methods to demonstrate and predict product
reliability.
Provide input to development schedules related to new or enhanced
products.
Contribute to the definition and development of the vision,
strategy and roadmap for deployment of new Tools in Reliability
that is applied on completed modules (Mechatronics, Software,
Electrical, and Mechanical).
Support other departments for improved process and better vendor
quality control.
Development experience of optical modules and/or mechatronic
assemblies is preferred.
Remain knowledgeable and in compliance with all company
Environmental, Health and Safety practices and proactively address
EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) issues that exist within the
employee's immediate work environment.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite
presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and
meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and
innovation.
Education and Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process
Engineering, Physics, or Reliability Engineering.
Master's degree with 3 years or
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant work experience.
Minimum qualifications - the hired candidate must possess all of
the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for the
position including:
Minimum # of years of relevant experience (see above).
Education and experience in DFR and reliability growth management
for new product development from system level down to sub-system
and component level.
Ability to work effectively in a concurrent engineering role with
project leadership, architects, systems engineers, design
engineers, test engineers, suppliers, and field service, on the
full range of reliability analysis, risk assessment, and mitigation
tasks, in support of multiple complex product lines before, during,
and after production to ultimately ensure compliance to reliability
and customer requirements.
Knowledge of statistics, root cause analysis, DOE (design of
experiments).
Experience with full range of environmental stress testing, fatigue
testing, vibration and shock testing, electrical stress testing,
accelerated lifetime testing, reliability demonstration
testing.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including the
ability to focus on customer needs and develop collaborative
solutions.
Strong people leadership skills, decision-making, conflict
resolution, negotiation and delegation skills.
Strong problem solving skills.

This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite

A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees
working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a
week).
Role within Office
Essential Job Functions
The essential job functions for this position include, but are not
limited to:
Work in a fast-paced office environment, including working in a
standing or seated position for long periods of up to 12 hours per
day, 5 days per week.
Commute to ASML's facility and report to work on a regular and
timely basis and complete the scheduled workday on a consistent
basis.
Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to finger,
handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
Occasionally required to move around the campus.
Perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand
manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as
paperwork, computer keyboarding (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
filing, calculating, and use of telephone or other handheld
electronic devices, continuously for up to 10 hours per day, five
days per week.
Have a sufficient ability to communicate, through sight, hearing,

The employee is occasionally required to move around the

in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. -
