Test Technician – Location: Wallingford Schedule: 2:00 pm to 10:30pm M-F Pay:$19.00 to $23.00 per hour About the Role: We're hiring a Test Technician to support our production and quality teams. In this role, you'll run tests on parts and equipment, help identify and troubleshoot issues, and ensure everything meets required standards. Key Responsibilities: Set up and perform tests on components and completed units Record test results using written notes, data charts, or graphs Adjust or calibrate equipment as needed to meet test requirements Maintain and use tools like oscilloscopes, power meters, microscopes, and other testing gear Work with engineering staff to improve test methods and processes Follow company safety, health, and environmental procedures Spot and report any signs of damage, wear, or errors in documentation What You'll Need: High School Diploma or GED 0–3 years of experience in testing, electronics, or manufacturing (we'll train the right person!) Ability to read and follow technical documents or blueprints Comfortable with both standard and metric measurements (inches, mm, etc.) Able to use electronic testing equipment or learn how to set it up Basic computer skills and ability to follow written procedures Ideal Traits: Strong attention to detail Willingness to learn and adapt Good communication skills Dependable and punctual Comfortable working in a team and hitting production goals Nice-to-Haves (Not Required): Experience with RF, optical testing, or oscilloscopes Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles Familiarity with software-based testing tools This is a hands-on position with room to grow—perfect for someone curious, motivated, and ready to build a career in a stable industry.
