Hardware / Electrical Engineer (Location: Preston/Norwich, CT
area, near Mohegan Sun casino)Job Description Client is seeking a
Hardware/ Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and manage
products through the complete product life cycle. This includes,
managing requirements, research, project management, detailed
design, engineering documentation, customer documentation,
manufacturing integration, and product enhancements and changes.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Design electronic circuit boards. Design wiring
diagrams and systems for complete manufacturing of
electromechanical devices. Project management, including
researching and identifying requirements for updating and
developing new products. Act as a principal electrical engineer in
updating and designing new products. Research and select
appropriate electrical/electronic components and vendors.
Engineering analysis and calculations as required Overseeing
construction and test of prototype assemblies. Providing
engineering oversight and input to manufacturing and production.
Understanding and managing engineering document control operations.
REQUIREMENTS Circuit Design, Xilinx FPGA design, Vivado Experience
and designing electronics using microprocessors, DDR, FPGA and
other high-level ICs (integrated circuits). 5-10 years of overall
relevant experience. 4 Year Electrical Engineering Degree, with at
least 2-3 years’ experience in circuit design (more experience
preferred) Experience in analog circuit design Experience with High
Level Digital Design Language (VHDL) tools to develop programmable
circuitry. Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and ISE and Vivado Design
tools. Experience with OrCad Schematic and Layout tools. Hands on
use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, and
JTAG development tools Familiarity with embedded, multithread
applications and object oriented software design. Ability to
oversee product changes with keen attention to detail and final
oversight. Ability to manage multiple projects and design tasks
PREFERRED SKILLS Design experience that includes Ethernet, USB,
UART, I2C, SPI, LVDS, eDP, PWM, Discreate I/O etc. Electronic
circuit design simulation experience. Ability to solder simple
circuits, electrical connectors and wiring harnesses. Skilled in
writing concise, coherent documentation. Basic understanding of
mechanical concepts. Other Requirements: U.S. Citizens,Green Cards,
and Permanent Residents are acceptable.
