Client Details We are partnered up with a growing Manufacturing company in their search for a Quality Supervisor due to an internal promotion. This role will report up into the Director of Quality and will manage a team of 4 employees. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, ISO 9001, Automotive or Aerospace industry experience, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Description The Quality Supervisor - Aerospace will be responsible for the following: Supervise daily activities of the quality inspection team across all shifts. Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 (automotive), AS9100 (aerospace), and ISO 9001 quality standards. Manage internal audits, support customer and third-party audits, and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections. Investigate non-conformances, lead root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). Interface with customers and suppliers regarding quality issues, documentation, and resolution plans. Lead training and development of team members on quality tools, procedures, and industry requirements. Utilize quality tools such as PPAP, FMEA, APQP, SPC, and MSA to monitor and improve product quality. Analyze quality data and trends, and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive process improvements and reduce variation. Profile The ideal Quality Supervisor - Aerospace will have the following qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field preferred. 5 years of quality experience in automotive and/or aerospace manufacturing; at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity. In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949, AS9100, and related customer-specific requirements. Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC. Experience with internal and external audits, customer quality concerns, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS); experience with ERP systems is a plus. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. ASQ certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQA (Certified Quality Auditor). Experience with NADCAP processes and special process validations (e.g., heat treat, welding, coatings). Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and CMM inspection techniques.
