Job Description Job Description Diodes Incorporated is seeking a
full-time equipment engineer to join our talented manufacturing
team. This position requires a flexible schedule and the
willingness to work occasional overtime. You will be responsible
for multiple activities with respect to future planning, project
execution, maintenance and repair of semiconductor manufacturing
equipment. These activities would include deliverables such as
troubleshooting and repairs, continuous improvements to help with
availability, cost savings and OEE. Good written skills for
creating and updating activity checklists, corrective and
preventative maintenance procedures, and specification updates, as
well as good interpersonal skills to provide clear technician
direction and training and present data to management. Must have
good project execution acumen, strong semiconductor equipment
experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing
environment and taking ownership of equipment within your assigned
area. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Working hours: 40-hour
work week, Monday through Friday. OT is expected in order to keep
your assigned area running as smoothly as possible. Work is
performed within a clean room environment that requires the wearing
of a smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, and safety glasses.
Requires the use of airline respirator. Requires occasional wearing
of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to,
aprons, gauntlets, and full-face masks. Requires lifting of objects
that weigh up to 50 lbs. May require work with hazardous gases,
chemicals, and high voltages. Troubleshoot and repair
electromechanical systems. Troubleshoot and repair
electro-pneumatic systems. Consistently directs one's own work at a
high level and demonstrates advanced leadership skills for small
teams and is sought out as a subject matter expert for assigned
area. Follows procedures without deviation and update them as
needed. Discusses repair and maintenance requirements with peers
and balances work with available talent. Reviews tool histories for
all area tools looking for common themes and proposes improvements
/ repairs and executes on them. Identifies abnormal tool conditions
and execute corrective actions. Has clear technical knowledge of
the equipment and its sub-systems within area assigned. Has process
knowledge enough to understand recipes and the desired outcomes.
Understands and uses SPC charts to identify failure modes.
Responsible for the completion of all scheduled and unscheduled
preventative maintenance and repair procedures in a timely,
accurate, and safe manner within assigned area. A safety-minded
approach is required: employees must be able to learn, understand
and follow all safety documentation, specs and protocol, including
LOTO. Must also be able to identify any/all safety concerns and
regulatory violations in order to eliminate them. May possibly be
cross trained in other areas as needed Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities: Strong electrical/mechanical semiconductor knowledge.
Ability to perform He-Leak checks of gas and vacuum systems.
Comfort handling chemicals, including acids, bases, and solvents.
Experience troubleshooting electrical issues. Experience
troubleshooting vacuum systems. Ability to read electrical
schematics Ability to use digital multimeters and voltage supplies.
Ability to work well in a collaborative environment, and as part of
a team. The flexibility to work outside of normal schedule, cross
train, (learn more than one job or operation) and multi-task as
needed. A BS in Engineering or relevant technical discipline, or
