Engineer with experience designing commercial and industrial
electrical systems. This is an in-office position in Rocky Hill, CT
or Princeton, N.J. Founded in 1990, Garg is a multi-disciplinary

ENGINEER We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Senior
Traction Power Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Engineer will
be responsible for performing electrical engineering design,
performing quality control, ensuring compliance with applicable
State, Local and Federal codes and standards, and contributing to
the implementation of electrical systems for various multi-million
dollars projects. The Engineer will report to the Design Manager
and closely collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to ensure
the delivery of successful electrical design projects. The
candidate must have demonstrated experience in developing
electrical projects using various CAD software to create electrical
one-line diagrams, wiring control schematics, power and lighting
layouts, cable and conduits layouts, electrical power panel
schedules, grounding and bonding system, electrical details, fire
alarm system and low-voltage system for the commercial building or
transportation projects. This position offers the opportunity to

Employment Type: Full-time Salary Range: $140,000-$200,000 per year
Responsibilities Design electrical systems and components in
compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Prepare detailed electrical scopes of work and manhour proposals.
Responsible for overall electrical technical content of a project
using engineering skills for ensuring safety and technical
accuracy. Develop detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and
technical documentation. Identify and select electrical equipment
according to the client's technical specifications. Design
electrical equipment coordinating with appropriate manufacturer.
Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure system
performance and reliability. Prepared detailed reports, opinions,
and recommendations ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Prepare construction cost estimates and construction schedules
using nationally recognized resources. Collaborate with project
managers and clients to ensure designs meet project goals and
client expectations. Deliver and execute projects on time and
within budget accordance with client's requirements. Participate in
project meetings, provide technical expertise, and support
construction and commissioning activities. Provide design services
during project construction, which includes reviewing project
submittals, technical documents, preparing design documents,
responding to contractor's request for information (RFIs). Attend
factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT) as per
project requirement. Meet with project team weekly to manage
project performance, status, open issues and tasks. Perform
coordination with various electrical utility companies throughout
the project duration. Review other project teams design projects.
Effectively communicate and present to project team members,
management and client. Act as a technical mentor to junior
engineers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in electrical
engineering from an accredited university Professional Engineer
license (PE) required Working knowledge and experience with
facility power distribution, substations and switchgear, power
distribution including cable and conduit routing, electrical panel
boards, motor control centers, lighting, grounding, and low voltage
systems. 10 years of Electrical Design Experience Strong knowledge
of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE, UL)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Must be a self-starter and a team player Experience with AutoCAD,
Revit, OpenBuildingDesigner, OpenRoadDesigner Experience mentoring
