Basic Functions and Scope of Job: The purpose of the Field
Technician is to provide technical installation and customer
support service to all Modula Inc. customers, using technical and
mechanical knowledge and available resources to ensure customer
satisfaction. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Effectively analyzes problem situations pertaining to breakdowns of
customer equipment and recommends action necessary to correct
situation to customer. Exhibits a professional demeanor, promotes
goodwill between the company, dealers, vendors, and customers by
providing a superior level of customer service. Observes, analyzes,
and determines corrective course of action for service and repair
of customer equipment. Performs necessary repairs to correct
analyzed situations in a professional and productive manner.
Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment for contracted
customers according to Modula Scheduled Maintenance policies and
procedures and proactively addresses needed repairs with Customer.
Prepares necessary documentation relating to each service call in a
neat and accurate manner. Follows safety rules and ensures that
hazardous waste is disposed of properly. Provide one-on-one,
end-user problem resolution either on-site or by using phone
communication. Deliver, tag, set up, and assist in the
configuration of end-user hardware, software, and peripherals.
Coordinate appropriate repair of equipment and software covered by
third-party vendors. Support service team with answers to
frequently asked questions from dealer, vendors, and customers.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Actively utilize Modula
provided training programs to increase knowledge, skill, and
proficiency. Performs other duties as assigned Please note: this

Other Duties and Responsibilities Maintains parts and supplies
inventory in Company provided tool kit. Maintains tool kit to
ensure that it is clean and organized. Performs factory-authorized
modifications per specifications. Responsible for providing
maintaining tools required for performing the job effectively and
safely. Responsible for keeping work area clean and free of clutter
and keeping tools clean and in good repair. Responsible for
following customer's safety and housekeeping guidelines while on
customer site. Requirements: This role is pivotal in supporting
customer service efforts. The individual in this position must have
a high degree of integrity, resourcefulness, and professionalism in
collaborating with colleagues and clients. Relationship building,
client service, and the ability to follow up in a timely manner are
critical for success. The ideal candidate will have relative
experience, excellent communication and leadership skills, and
mechanical/electrical aptitude. High school education, plus one to
three years mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience in a
similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational
education. Ability to communicate effectively with customers,
management, and co-workers. Ability to read metrics and read and
interpret schematics. Ability to read and understand necessary
service and training manuals. Ability to maintain a good
understanding of industry innovations and product availability to
make recommendations based on customer need. Ability to effectively
utilize volt, ohm, and multi-meters. Demonstrate a strong
mechanical and electrical aptitude. Candidate must have a valid
Passport or acquire one within 90 days of hire. Prior experience
with VLM’s, automation, ASRS Systems, or carousels preferred.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in current versions
of MS Office is required, and must be able to navigate custom
databases and on-line document management software. Candidate must
be old enough to rent vehicle in the United States. Additional
language is a plus. Travel up to 80% is required as our customers
are located throughout North America. Ability to safely operate
drill, hand tools, forklift, scissor lift, and work at heights (via
ladder or lift) of 45 feet is required. (Forklift and scissor lift
training will be provided.) Ability to conduct training Modula may

Record Drug Screening Physical Requirements: While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand;
use hands to handle, feel or reach. The employee frequently is
required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and
crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25
pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and
occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Working
Conditions: Works in a variety of customer environments including
manufacturing, distribution, cold storage, and out of doors with
exposure to elements. Employee is exposed to oil, grease, and dirt.
Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards and dangerous
chemical/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed. The
employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and
fumes, solvents, or airborne particles. The noise level varies from
customer to customer but is usually in the moderate to noisy level.
This position also entails the necessity to work weekly overtime,
occasionally work after normal working hours or on weekends based
on customer need, as well as the ability to travel overnight, by
automobile and by airplane. Must be able to pass background check
