enrich your talents. Summary: Plan and perform various CNC turning
and milling operations to machine a variety of metal parts.
Essential Functions: Machine parts to specifications using machine
tools such as lathes and milling machines Work from blueprints,
engineering instructions, specifications, and blueprints Measure,
examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure
conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as
micrometers. Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine
tools and many specialized tools in order to perform precision
machining operations Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting
tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines Select
appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in the
preparation of machine work Check part to ensure that they are
properly lubricated and cooled Operate equipment to verify
operational efficiency Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and
equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign
matter Maintain records and documents in-process inspection data as
required Report faulty or unusual conditions to the appropriate
level of supervision Adhere to standards of safety and housekeeping
standards Operate and measure machine Perform other related duties
or responsibilities as required. Required Qualifications &
Experience: Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S.
Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related
data High School Degree or G.E.D 5 years of experience as a CNC
Machinist Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be able to
read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all
levels of the organization Ability to interpret policies,
procedures, and standard business practices Ability to read and
interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions Must have
strong attention to detail Ability to set up and operate CNC
turning and milling machines. Ability to read and understand
engineering work instructions. Ability to measure using standard
shop tools, machine tools, and engineered gaging to close
established tolerances. Knowledge of appropriate speeds and feeds
for materials and tools Knowledge of machines codes and G codes.
Ability to travel domestically – 5% max Physical Demands / Work
