Job Description Job Description Hiring for a Quality Technician
in Bloomfield! Job Description The Quality Technician will provide
crucial support for aero-derivative gas turbine programs, extending
beyond mere inspection of parts. This role involves reviewing
paperwork, inspection plans, working with suppliers to rectify
issues, and overseeing first article inspections. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office and Excel is essential. Responsibilities Perform
inspection of new and overhauled parts received from suppliers.
Inspect parts stored in the warehouse before they are moved to the
parent company/owner. Inspect parts at supplier, partner, or
customer locations as needed. Ensure all supplier documentation is
accurate and meets requirements as part of the inspection process.
Execute supplier source inspections. Essential Skills Quality
engineering and materials engineering knowledge. Experience with
ISO Standards, Auditing, Root Cause Analysis, Quality Standards,
and Quality Assurance. Mechanical Engineering, including Heat
Treating, Brazing, and Welding. Proficiency in Process Analysis.
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field. Additional Skills &
Qualifications Experience working effectively with cross-functional
groups. Ability to develop and sustain change activities. Project
management skills with proven accomplishments. Engineering drawing
interpretation and GD&T skills, with the ability to interpret
CMM data outputs. Hard gaging experience, including the use of
calipers and micrometers. Ability to engage, interact with, and
hold suppliers accountable. Experience using root cause analysis
tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams. Strong analytical,
problem-solving, and communication skills. Work Environment The
work environment is a mid-level high-rise modern office building,
primarily employing engineers to work on Aero-Derivative Pratt and
Whitney engines for power generation globally. Flexible hours are
offered along with banked PTO and multiple employee outings,
including contractors and charity events. The facility is
sophisticated, supporting the development and manufacturing of
energy solutions for power generation with a portfolio of gas
turbines ranging from 30 to 140 MW packages. Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Glastonbury, CT. Pay and
Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 -
