Job Description Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description The Process/Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for implementing line improvement projects throughout the plant. This role requires the management of project documentation such as PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions. The engineer will collaborate with production team members and cross-functional teams to identify, manage, and execute improvement projects. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, though some weekend work or overtime may be required depending on project needs. Responsibilities Implement and manage line improvement projects across the plant. Develop and maintain project documentation including PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions. Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to identify and manage improvement projects. Conduct root cause analysis and apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance processes. Manage and execute projects using six sigma methodologies. Essential Skills Proficiency in process improvement and continuous improvement strategies. Strong root cause analysis and lean manufacturing skills. Experience in project management and project engineering. Certification or knowledge of Six Sigma, preferably a Black Belt. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Minimum of 1 years of experience in manufacturing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in automotive manufacturing. Background in automation, specifically with ABB/Fanuc robots. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Experience in glass manufacturing. Demonstrated high initiative and problem-solving skills. Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled. Employees are required to wear long-sleeve protection and steel-toed shoes on the production floor. The facility is experiencing growth with new equipment being installed to support new business. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
