Presco Engineering is expanding their production and engineering teams for bio-medical electronics, scientific instruments, drop-on-demand printers, IoT devices, high power lasers, handheld spectrometers and a host of other exciting products. We are currently seeking a Buyer looking for fast-paced, exciting work in a high-mix/low-volume manufacturing and engineering environment. Every day, we’re tasked with designing and manufacturing complex products for major tech firms and innovative startups. We have a small manufacturing team supported by a robust engineering group that focuses on new product design for our clients. Requirements 5 years of buying experience. Experience using MRP systems Excellent attention to detail required. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Excellent written and verbal skills Proficiency in MS Office applications and the ability to quickly learn new software Presco to provide on-the-job training A valid Driver’s License Responsibilities Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and service. Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with vendors. Issue purchase orders and ensure accuracy of quantities, pricing, and specifications. Communicate with suppliers to expedite deliveries and address supplier quality issues. Use MRP system to maintain inventory for manufactured goods. Communicate across departments to ensure orders are placed accurately and in a timely manner Utilize BOMs and engineering drawings to generate RFQs and perform purchasing activities. Assist with kitting for engineering and manufacturing jobs. Perform receiving activities through our MRP system.
