Job Description Job Description Industrial Electrician - 3rd Shift - Pay up to $35/hr Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for a 3rd shift position in Canton, OH. The work schedule follows a 2-2-3-3 rotation, with 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. The hourly rate ranges between $32 and $35.50. Responsibilities: Install and repair electrical systems, devices, and components of industrial machinery and equipment. Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment, including robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers. Connect power supply wires and cables between machines and equipment. Diagnose malfunctions in transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; replace damaged wires and cables. Troubleshoot PLC programming and various communication formats. Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensors. Diagnose and repair or replace faulty components, including printed circuit boards. Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors. Plan the layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical devices in buildings. Work with 480V 3 Phase electricity and high voltage up to 138KV. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Occasionally work in wet or humid conditions with fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Essential Skills Experience in troubleshooting and repairing machinery in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with 480v systems. Expertise in troubleshooting PLCs. Ability to read schematics. Willingness to work at heights, including on lifts for overhead crane maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Possession of a Journeyman's card is a plus. Our skill system supports pay increases through skill development. Work Environment This role operates on a 3rd shift, 7p-7a, with a 2-2-3-3 schedule. Training occurs on the 1st shift for 2-3 months. The team atmosphere is strong, with only 7-8 employees on the 3rd shift. While mandatory overtime is rare, voluntary overtime is available. The work is not typically physically taxing. The production floor can be loud, and hearing protection is provided. Be prepared for on-call duties, with call-ins happening at most twice a month.
