Job Description Job Description Job Title: CNC Machinist (Independent / Solo Role) Pay: $26–$35 per hour (Based on Experience) Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:15 PM Friday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM Job Type: Full-Time / Temp to Hire Location: Manchester, NH Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated CNC Machinist to join our team. This position operates independently and requires someone confident working solo while managing setups, programming, machining, and inspection responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes strong personal initiative, and is comfortable producing complex machined components in support of both production and engineering. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and program a Doosan vertical milling center Set up and operate manual machine tools including: Knee mill with Prototrak control Drill presses Tapping heads Manual lathe Surface grinder Program using Mastercam Perform inspection of own work using precision measuring instruments: Calipers Micrometers Optical comparator Drop dial indicators Electronic height gage Perform detailed hand work requiring manual dexterity: Hand tapping threads Polishing Deburring Produce complex machined components to print specifications Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications & Requirements 2–5 years of related machining experience and/or education in Machining Technologies High school diploma or GED required Strong experience with CNC setup, operation, and programming Proficiency in Mastercam (required) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Solid basic math skills Strong attention to detail Self-starter with the ability to work independently Machinist-level understanding of both CNC and manual equipment If you are interested in this position or other opportunities, please apply with an updated resume!
