Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic B is responsible for repairing and maintaining basic CNC machinery and mechanical components along with basic electrical equipment for manufacturing. This position ensures maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness, with the ability to work independently in the performance of standard maintenance and repairs. Essential Functions: Preventive/predictive TPM and routine maintenance on CNC Machines Assist troubleshooting issues and repair failures of production equipment Minor electrical repairs and/or replacement of fluorescent lamps, fuses and knowledge of multi-meter test equipment Assist operation with testing and implementation of equipment Assist operation with analyzing deviations and definition of machine related corrective actions Support all aspects of building maintenance/routine shop preventive maintenance Perform TPMs (Total Productive Maintenance) Perform other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required. Required Qualifications & Experience: Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data High School Degree or G.E.D 2 years of experience Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices. Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level. Knowledge of OSHA standards: Lock Out/Tag Out, Hazard Communication, Fork Lift Certified, NFPA 70E Arc Flash preferred Ability to use basic measuring tools: Micrometer, dial caliper, electrical multi-meter, etc. Ability to travel 5-10% when required.
