military. The Protected Communications Systems Hardware Engineering
Department is seeking a motivated and driven Firmware Engineering
Intern to join our team at the Marlborough, MA location. As a
Firmware Engineering Intern , you will be a member of an Integrated
Program Team (IPT) creating solutions using Field Programmable Gate
Arrays (FPGAs), System on Chip (SOC), and Complex Programmable
Logic Devices (CPLDs). What You Will Do : Register Transaction
Level (RTL) design of components used in configurable logic devices
Testbench development and simulation using Universal Verification
Methodology (UVM) Generation and updates of engineering
documentation Constraint creation for FPGAs, SoCs, and CPLDs
Document and code reviews Test and Evaluation of product hardware
and evaluation boards using lab equipment What You Will Learn:
Firmware and hardware engineering tools and processes Best
practices for configurable logic design Design validation and test
methods Qualifications You Must Have: Requires a High School
Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or
advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
security clearance is required U.S. citizenship is required, as
only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer: Coursework, projects, or experience with
FPGAs, VHDL, and SystemVerilog Technical experience through prior
internships Programming experience with C, MATLAB, and scripting
languages Prior leadership experience Proficient knowledge of
Microsoft Office Products Good written and verbal communication
skills Self-motivated and demonstrates history of working well in a
team environment Strong interest in the firmware design process

This position is eligible for relocation. Onsite: Employees who are

37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
