Job Description:

The role of the Director, Benefits is to establish annual priorities and overall strategic direction, ensuring all benefit and retirement programs are aligned with the company's annual and long-term strategic objectives. The position will lead, develop, and motivate a team of benefits professionals to accomplish function objectives.----ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-- --Analyze current and developing legislation, healthcare regulations and other environmental factors impacting plan performance and program competitiveness-- --Recommend and implement new or enhanced competitive benefit plans and policies----Ensure that benefit plans are administered in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to, ERISA, DOL, and IRS----Conduct annual evaluations of coverage and policies to assess cost-effectiveness and competitiveness------Lead the 401(k) committee and advise on 401(k) including coordination of plan testing, annual audit, plan design, and administration, support pension schemes outside the US----Manage third-party relationships for programs including consultants, brokers, benefits administrators, and carriers----Lead negotiations and renewals with providers including governance, contract compliance, issues management, communications frequency, schedule, and approach----Build and oversee global benefit communications that are clear, compelling and relevant-- --Manage the implementation and ongoing management of U.S. and global health and welfare benefits and qualified retirement plans while, at the same time, developing insightful strategies and solutions for international businesses by partnering effectively with regional Total Rewards leaders----Develop and manage a global mobility program, ensuring global mobility policies align with industry best practice; work with internal and external partners to facilitate employee moves-- --SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES-- ----Benefits Team-- --QUALIFICATIONS:----EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE-- --A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred----Ten-plus years of benefits administration required, with at least five to seven years of plan strategy and plan design experience----Five-plus years of experience managing a benefits team in a large corporate environment a must-- --COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)-- --Experience working with multiple vendors, including vendor management and negotiations----Understanding of HR policies and processes----Deep understanding of global benefit programs, including healthcare, retirement, and trends----Strong working knowledge in relocation, and immigration----Ability to cultivate effective relationships within Human Resources and cross-functionally at all levels within the company----Ability to flourish in a team environment, as well as work independently----Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking, project management skills and attention to details----Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize and present information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences----An innate ability to think globally, strategically and objectively to effectively translate data and research into actionable insights, strategies, programs and financial plans----Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and growing environment----Experience and broad knowledge with all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements (i.e., ERISA, HIPPA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA)
