Job Description:

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

• Institute-wide financial planning, forecasting, management, and monthly expense monitoring
• Ensure proper usage of funds and monitor open salary lines, revenue sources, and movement between budget categories
• Maintain policies and controls for financial functions and ensure university policies are being followed
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement cost saving measures
• Manage all division contracts and route through the Gatekeeper process
• Work with the Chief Administrative Officer on all financial planning and contracting related to space needs and capital projects
• Process all financial transactions for the institute including but not limited to journal vouchers, purchase orders, invoices, and Concur transactions
• Process all HR transactions
  • Master's degree preferred, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of financial/accounting experience, preferably in higher education.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel required; Banner and Cognos financial systems preferred.
  • Willingness and interest to explore and learn new technologies for efficient and effective data management.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintain confidentiality and work with diplomacy and tact required.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to sort out complex information are essential.
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of an effective team
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to exceeding client/customer expectations
