Maine Eye is seeking a Clinical Manager to join our team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment!

The Clinical Manager's responsibility is to ensure appropriate clinical and technical support for all Maine Eye providers.

Performance Requirements

• Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in the clinic
• Manages direct supervision of clinical staff
• Oversees personnel time cards and manage overtime
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these individuals
• Working in Clinic as needed
• Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with policies
• Includes: interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing, appraising, rewarding, discipline, addressing complaints, and resolving issues
• Resolves disputes and grievances, personnel and patients
• Ensures compliance with current healthcare regulations medical laws and ethics as directed by Compliance department.
• Keep track of equipment and devices and manage inventory
• Troubleshoot lane utilization, demand vs. inventory
• Develop leadership to enhance patient care and efficiency
• Works closely with other administrators to ensure consistent patient satisfaction through appropriate staffing levels, policies, procedures, training, budgeting, materials, equipment, etc.
• Develops, implements, and executes new hire and on-going training programs; includes identification of preceptors, strategically using materials available, meeting JCAHPO standards, and fulfilling competency achievement
• Responsible for fiscal operations such as budget planning and department expense controls
• Effectively controls costs through economical utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment
• Chart audits to check chart documentation, chief complaint, diagnostic testing, and treatment plans are neat, accurate, and timely
• Keep administration apprised of any issues or problems; present solutions, as applicable
• Handle escalated patient issues, as applicable
• First point-of-contact for all pharmaceutical representatives and clinical vendors
  
  Operations Support
  
  • Work in conjunction with IT to make technological recommendations and improvements in ophthalmic systems.
  • Become a liaison with support vendors and coordinate evaluation process on potential new equipment purchases.
  • Provide problem solving for any breakdowns in hardware and software in the camera department.
  • Mentor and teach co-workers
