Self-starters flourish in our work environment where balancing multiple projects with fast-paced timelines is customary.Job DescriptionAs the Director of Marketing & Social Media, you will contribute to the planning and execution of the brand's organic social content and assets as well as marketing strategy and implementation and tracking of paid advertising for Misfit Athletics, Sharpen The Axe, and Misfit Gym Portland.You will work closely with our Media, Apparel, and Operations teams to play a critical role in driving the growth of the business.Responsibilities* Develop marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, conversion, retention, and advocacy through executional plans to support high growth goals with full understanding of the entire customer journey.* In support of our public relations and media strategy, Identify and engage key influencers in the wellness space.Be a diligent brand steward, ensuring that all content meets company standards and guidelines while exuding our aspirational brand.* Work with leadership to build and continuously evolve a social media strategy that grows brand affinity, engagement, and ultimately, conversion.* Build community engagement by responding to comments/questions and interacting with followers.* Measure and report on analytics on a regular basis to make actionable and educated social content optimization decisions.* Activate, manage, and publish content on all brand social channels-as part of a dedicated content calendar aligned to brand priorities and business goals.* Conceptualize and create highly-shareable original content for all of our platforms-either in-house and/or with agency partners as needed.* Oversee all earned marketing and associated programs: organic social, athlete and influencer partnerships, and public relations efforts.* In partnership with our creative team, uphold the look, feel,and tone for the brand.* Create, curate, and maintain media posting calendar and communicate cross channel involvement through all departments.* Explore and test new opportunities and growth strategies; measure A/B tests across paid campaigns and product launches.* Define, measure, and optimize email and messaging retargeting campaigns to drive repeat customers.* Directly manage and grow the paid marketing campaigns across Facebook Ads, Google AdWords, Affiliate networks and various other channels.* Perform in-depth analysis and insight into key metrics of paid acquisition campaigns and communicate performance and growth projections with the team.Qualifications* 1 to 3 years of marketing experience, with a successful track record focused on brand/campaign management and content strategy.* Expert knowledge of social media platforms, including their respective strengths and demographics (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).* A strong track record of building social media engagement and community.* Superb copywriting skills with the ability to be conversational without sacrificing trustworthiness, grammar, and spelling.* Able to navigate both the creative and analytical sides of social media, with knowledge of using all relevant tools.* Expertise with Facebook Ads Manager, Google Adwords, and associated platforms.* Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications. Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.* A passion for visual storytelling through digital and social platforms in particular.* Solid data analysis skills and ability to interpret and utilize data to inform decisions and strategy.* Comfortable with open communication and giving and receiving transparent, constructive feedback respectfully.* A track record of personal accountability, initiative, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.* The ability to successfully work in a fast-paced, high energy environment of competing priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
