Sometimes, less is more - we produce a focused, seasonless assortment in small quantities and our team is very small and purposeful.

Our team is looking to hire a Fabric and Product Development Manager who will report to our Chief of Supply Chain and Production. We're looking for someone who's experienced in sourcing and fabric development.

What you'll do in this role:

Manage AYRs mill relationships
Oversee and manage fabric and trims appointments and follow ups
Obtain and maintain fabric and trim detail sheets from mills, and maintain them in a library
Manage negotiations of fabric and trim prices and minimum order quantities
Partner with design to review and comment on the initial print, color, and pattern
Issue all POs for sampling fabric, yarns, and trims
Manage, review all samples, invoices and payment confirmations
Work with design and tech design to ensure development TP BOMs use the proper article and reference codes
Liaise with vendors, tech design, and design to send out all dev and transaction codes
Track all sampling
Coordinate proto reviews with the production team
Organize all proto fabrics, trims to pass off to production
Set standards for production, partnering with the production team at adoption stage

What your experience looks like:

+5 years of experience in supply chain / production
Bachelor's Degree
Willingness to travel once per quarter for team events and offsites
Have a love for slow fashion and an eye for design
Knowledge of raw materials, fabric and trims
Experience working with domestic as well as overseas suppliers and manufacturers
Ability to work on pricing, do cost engineering and provide guidance to vendors
You like doing your work, it brings you joy, and you're good at it.
You like to work with a high degree of freedom and to work without a lot of direction.
You're an expert in your field. You work autonomously, and get your work done well.
You actively pursue self-development in your field, you seek feedback, and are always looking to personally grow.
