Full Time 241 Oxford Street Clerical/Administrative Support Day Shift * Position Summary
* This is a professional position which facilitates the provision of quality customer services for clients via telephone and in-person. It requires interaction with medical providers, pharmacy staff, and staff at pharmaceutical companies to research and resolve recurring and/or urgent medication needs. MedAccess members will be assigned to the caseload of the Prescription Assistance Case Manager (PACM). The PACM administers and tracks the status of Prescription Assistance Programs (PAP) applications, advocates on behalf of members, screens program members for eligibility for local, state, and federal programs such as Free Care, General Assistance, MaineCare, Medicare Savings Programs, etc., and assists with finding community resources. * Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
* Education: Bachelors or Associate degree in Social Services, Pharmacy, or Healthcare field preferred or relevant experience in a healthcare environment. * License/Certifications: N/A * Experience: Knowledge of state and federal agencies such as MaineCare, local community resources, and regulations acquired through no less than 2 years of experience in social/human services, pharmacy, health care management or related field. Computer competency that will enable employee to operate project's software system and meet the responsibilities of the position. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), Electronic Medical Records (Epic), Internet usage and DataNet software for PAP applications, if applicable. Experience required to prepare reports, perform calculations, complete forms and write business letters * Demonstrates a high level of analytical skills and good judgement in assessing and planning for the needs of members. * Responsible for making independent decisions of a significant nature. * Community Outreach experience and networking necessary. * Experience with Public Speaking. * Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively, compassionately and cordially interact with the public including health care providers and applicants. * Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills in order to explain policies and procedures to applicants, enrollees, providers and the general public. * Strong customer service, teamwork, resource knowledge and advocacy skills are essential. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
