    Position Summary




    • The Payor Contract Manager participates in the negotiation and documentation of agreements, amendments and other related documents between MaineHealth, the MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and Payors. This position supports facility contracting and takes lead on all ancillary contracting, single case agreements, and value-based agreements. The Payor Contract Manager will assist in the identification and resolution of payor issues impacting MaineHealth.

      • Ability to work both independently and to collaborate with teams of individuals in diverse settings.
      • Ability to manage conflict, stress and multiple simultaneous work demands in an effective, professional manner.
      • Ability and willingness to self-motivate, prioritize, and be willing to change processes to improve effectiveness efficiency. Adapts to changing organizational priorities.
      • Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office.


        Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
        Education: Bachelor's degree. Masters preferred. License/Certifications: N/A Experience: At least 5 years' experience in managed care or related healthcare field. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent organizational skills.
