Job Description:
The DON oversees clinical services at a skilled nursing
facility, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality, safety, and risk
management.
Provides clinical leadership through staff education,
resident/family engagement, and system analysis.
Collaborates with HR on staffing, develops budgets, and supports
marketing strategies.
Keeps current with industry trends and maintains safety
standards.
Requires RN licensure, BSN preferred, with 1+ years in a similar
leadership role and CQI/Quality Management experience
preferred.
Supervises management teams and indirectly over 200 staff.
Strong communication, problem-solving, financial, and technological
skills are essential.
Work involves physical activity and adherence to safety protocols;
ability to handle stress and foster teamwork is vital.
