About The Position JOB OVERVIEW: Job Title: Optometrist Ophthalmology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Lincoln, ME Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: 07/07/2025 - 26 weeks Clinical Shift Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (4-day work week, 36 hours/week, 60-minute lunch) PATIENT INFORMATION: Patient Demographics: All Ages Patient Volume/Census: Average 16 patients per day Case Mix: General Optometry FACILITY INFORMATION: Office Equipment Available: Standard Optometry Equipment Support Staff Available: Yes Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES: Provide quality eye care and emergency treatment Examine eyes and visual system Diagnose problems or impairments Prescribe corrective lenses Provide treatment and prescribe therapeutic drugs for specific eye conditions JOB REQUIREMENTS: Licenses: Active State License or willing to license Board Certification: Required Clean criminal and DHHS background DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide comprehensive eye exams and vision care Diagnose and treat vision impairments and eye diseases Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and medications as needed Document all patient interactions and treatment plans Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure continuity of care 1637726EXPPLAT About Adelphi Medical Staffing Adelphi Medical Staffing is a national recruitment firm that specializes in sourcing locums, per diems, travel nurses, allied health, and non-clinical professionals for healthcare facilities.
