Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Portland, ME Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,262 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Float Pool Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7P-7A Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Cardiac drip management, Heparin management, Diltiazem management, Cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, management of chest tubes, trach care, central line/PICC line care Description: ASAP start needed. Manager interviews required. ACLS and BLS certifications are required. Experience in medical/surgical/telemetry is needed. Every other weekend is required. The facility has 200 licensed beds. Will occasionally have medical and nursing students. Patient types include adults only, with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, stroke, IVDA, ETOH withdrawal, cellulitis, abdominal pain, myocardial infarctions, electrolyte imbalances, diabetes, post-operative joints, urological, spines, vascular, general abdominal, GYN, and breast conditions. Patient ratios are RN: Day - 1:4/5; Nights - 1:5/6. For intermediate care, the ratio is 1:3. Support on the unit includes a charge RN Monday to Friday during the day, and nurses take assignments on weekends and nights. CNA numbers vary based on census. RT is available 24/7. Hospitalists are available 24/7. Intensivists are available for consult 24/7. Technology and equipment used includes Cerner EMR, Pyxis, and GE monitors. Float staff will rotate to surgical, medical, telemetry, observation units, and intermediate care. Scheduling cycle is approximately every four weeks. Weekend rotation is every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Call may be required if census drops. Holiday expectations include being scheduled as needed.
