Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/01/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg Tele /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12.5-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM /n• 36 guaranteed hours per week /n• Every other weekend schedule required /n• No call requirements /n• Float assignments as needed /n• Fast-paced, high acuity unit environment /n• Patient ratios: 1:4-5 during days, 1:5-6 during nights /n• 2 years of acute recent care experience required /n• High acuity and cardio experience is a must /n• Work with equipment including IVs, PCA pumps, epidurals, air mattresses, Ketamine drips, wound care, tube feeding, NGs, drains, Foleys, Heparin drips, Wound Vac dressings, burns, specialty beds, central lines, PICCs, PEGs, trachs, chest tubes, and JPs /n• EPIC EMR system /n• Required certification: BLS /n• Complete online education modules /n• Must be quick learner, team player, flexible, adaptable, and accountable /n• Dress code: Any color scrubs allowed, fragrance-free unit, no AirPods/headphones, hoodies, unprofessional attire, tight/ill-fitting clothing, open-toe shoes, logos/graphics, or gel polish/artificial nails /n/n Facility: /n This major medical center operates a 44-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with embedded intermediate care capabilities. The facility specializes in high acuity patient care including cardio, medical telemetry, and post-operative patients. The unit maintains a team-oriented environment focused on providing excellent patient care while maintaining a "work hard, have fun" culture.
