with pediatric patients and sensory integration preferred.
Preferred experience with therapeutic milieu and group
facilitation. Description: ASAP start needed. Manager interviews.
Usually 8 hours per day for a 40-hour work week, but shift times
can be variable depending on patient needs. Provide evaluations,
individual treatment, and therapeutic groups to pediatric patients.
Work primarily with an inpatient tween unit, which has about 12
patients daily. Cross coverage to adolescent and younger patients
may be necessary. 90% of patients will have evaluations and
individual treatments. Ages of patients range from 5 to 18 years
old. Common diagnoses include ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Depression,
PTSD, and ODD. Responsible for the occupational therapy services of
1 unit, with approximately 12 patients daily. Skills required
include group process and facilitation, understanding of sensory
integration and executive functioning skills, and comfort with
standardized assessments. Must exhibit a high level of
self-awareness and provide patient-centered care. Easily adapts to
varying patient and unit needs. Full treatment team support is
available. Treatment team meets regularly for updates and support.
Attire is business casual, allowing jeans, but requires closed-toed
shoes. Maintain a culture of teamwork within the department and
