At Central Vermont Medical Center, a proud member of the University of Vermont Health Network, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist dedicated to fostering wellness and enhancing the quality of life for our patients. This role involves assessment, planning, and implementation of rehabilitation strategies for patients recovering from injuries and illnesses. Working as a part of our dynamic healthcare team, you will utilize your expertise to promote patients' functional and cognitive abilities for better daily living, supporting our commitment to community health and patient-centered care. Evaluate patients' functional status and occupational performance. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals. Educate patients and families about appropriate safe methods and adaptive equipment to enhance independence. Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal care. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Adhere to professional standards and guidelines as per regulatory bodies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in using therapeutic equipment and technology. Ability to design creative and patient-specific interventions. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Valid and current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist. Preferably certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). CPR certification is desirable.
