ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 26 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • 36 guaranteed hours per week • Mostly every other weekend schedule required • No call requirements • 2 years of nursing experience required • Must be able to read telemetry strips and have experience working on a stroke ward • Required to manage telemetry, diltiazem drips, amiodarone drips, insulin, Lasix and Bumex drips • Experience with chest tubes, VAC dressings, cardiac catheterizations, and pacemakers required • Must have experience with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients • BLS certification required • Patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6 on a 37-bed unit • Float to any med/surg telemetry unit as needed • Work with medical telemetry patients in Epic EMR system • Follow strict dress code: no hoodies, tight fitting clothing, v-necks, or personal fragrances; hair must be up, piercings plugged/gauged, smoke-free environment • No personal device use permitted on unit • Must be a team player willing to jump in and help, open to feedback Facility: This leading medical center operates a comprehensive 37-bed medical telemetry unit specializing in stroke care and cardiac monitoring.
