Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Ellsworth, ME Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,305 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Ellsworth, Maine, 04605! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience; 1 year Tech experience. Nursing home experience is accepted. License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Previous Charge RN experience highly preferred. Description: ASAP start needed. Petient types include total joints (knees, hips, etc.), general Med/Surg, appendicitis, colectomies, small bowel issues, urology (TURP, cysto), CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, and diabetes. Patients may present with addictions in addition to other medical issues. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 during days and 1:6-7 at night for RN staff; and 1:10-12 for tech staff. Nurses and techs are supported by a charge nurse who takes assignment on most shifts. Respiratory therapists, hospitalist services, and centralized telemonitoring are available 24/7. Nurses are expected to initiate IV attempts before seeking assistance for difficult IVs or central lines. Rapid response assistance involves in-house providers, respiratory staff, ICU and ED charge nurses, unit charge staff, and nursing supervisors. Floating may occur to ICU for Med/Surg level patients or to assist in the ED. Weekend rotation is every other weekend. Two out of four holidays may be required as needed during the contract. Approval for time off must be sought from management.
