successful candidate will be responsible for various functions for
the SubSpecialty surgery division including consulting on surgical
patients, bedside procedures, and daily rounding on admitted
patients as well as multidisciplinary care coordination. Our
SubSpecialty Surgical Services team consists of several Advanced
Practitioners who care for patients in the following surgical
areas: Bariatric, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Urology,
Colorectal and Vascular specialties. Role: Nurse Practitioner or
Physician Assistant Location: 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, 06606
Setting: Inpatient, surgical subspecialties Schedule: Full-time (40
hours), 13-hour shifts, occasional Saturdays. Call schedule: No

practice Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants Role Scope: ·
Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or
supervision with the practice physician(s), Nurse Practitioners and
Physician Assistants perform routine physical examinations, and
formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat
patients. · In consultation with the physician(s) and care team
members, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants develop plans
for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other
health team members or specialists. · Nurse Practitioners or
Physician Assistants provide appropriate treatment for problems
within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by
protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of
practice and refers appropriately to physicians. Qualifications
Requirements: Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical
License (or eligible) Training: Nurse Practitioner or Physician
Assistant Experience: 1 year's experience in a surgical setting New
grad candidates should have experience in a surgical setting in
training or previous career
