Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Sterile Processing Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Details - Facility: Down East Community Hospital - Client: Calais Community Hospital - Facility Address: 11 Hospital Drive, Machias, ME 04654 - Job Type: Contract | Quick Start - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Shift: Days Unit & System Details - Department: Operating Room / Central Sterile - EMR: Cerner - Exposure Risk: Category I (bloodborne pathogens) Primary Responsibilities - Decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of instruments and equipment - Daily operation and monitoring of steam and gas autoclaves - Perform and document biological and chemical testing - Assemble trays, package supplies, and prepare items for sterilization - Maintain records, logs, and departmental documentation - Deliver and stock surgical supplies - Apply aseptic techniques and comply with safety, compliance, and confidentiality policies Requirements & Qualifications - CRCST and CER Certification – REQUIRED - Basic computer skills - Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and vendors - Less than 1 year of experience accepted - State License: Not required Physical Requirements - Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs - Pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs with assistive devices - Standing, walking, bending for extended periods - Fine motor skills and manual dexterity required K16 About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
